Is the consultation really free?
Yes. It is a phone call, roughly 15 minutes, with no card and no obligation. It is a conversation, not a training session. Anthony uses it to work out whether he can help your dog before either of you commits to anything.
Do you run group classes?
No. Everything is private and one-on-one. Your dog gets the whole session, and so do you — most of what makes training stick is what the owner does between sessions.
Do you offer board & train?
Not at the moment. Tru Dog Training does not have a facility, so all training is private, in person, and done with you there. That is deliberate: you learn to handle your own dog rather than getting a trained dog handed back.
Where does training happen?
Where your dog actually struggles — your home, your street, the places you walk. A dog that only behaves in a quiet training room has not learned much.
Is off-leash training realistic for my dog?
For a lot of dogs, yes, but it is built on top of solid obedience rather than instead of it. Anthony will tell you honestly on the call whether your dog is ready for it or whether something comes first.
My dog is reactive. Will you take him?
Behavior modification is one of the programs, so tell him what is going on. If he thinks something else should come first, or that a vet should look at your dog, he will say so.
How far do you travel?
Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Mary Esther, Niceville and Crestview. Crestview is about 45 minutes out, so mention where you are on the call.
What does it cost?
It depends on the program and your dog, which is exactly what the free call is for. You will know what your dog needs and what it costs before you commit to anything.
